The newly transformed B&Q Nottingham store re-opened its doors to the public today as staff proudly unveiled the store’s new features including 16 specialist shop-within-a-shop areas showcasing lighting, flooring, paint and soft furnishings.
General Manager Andy Mason hosted the ribbon cutting ceremony alongside
Team B&Q athlete and slalom canoeist Campbell Walsh. Afterwards, staff showed the customer’s around the newly transformed store, revealing the store’s best features including brand new kitchen and bathroom showrooms, a home décor centre, a 20,000 square foot builder’s yard and a coffee shop.
The 134,000 square foot store boasts over 50 kitchen and bathroom showrooms, in addition to areas dedicated to lighting, flooring, tiling and paint - everything homeowners need to brighten up their home on a budget. Resident in-store experts, including plumbers, electricians, horticulturists and showroom designers, are on-hand to offer advice in all areas of home improvement.
The new-look store also stocks an extended range of energy saving products, as part of B&Q’s One Planet Living initiative , making it easier for homeowners to reduce the impact of their home on the environment.
Visitors to the new B&Q Nottingham were also treated to ten percent off over the opening weekend in addition to a host of entertainment.
B&Q Nottingham’s General Manager Andy Mason said: "We have had a great day celebrating with all the staff, and are thoroughly looking forward to working in this fantastic new store.
